HELPFUL, WITHOUT BEING MYSTERIOUS
Your travels.
You’re in control.
Travel is messy. Signals disappear. Flights cross midnight. You deserve to see what was recorded—and fix what wasn’t.
Stayline shows detected dates and missing periods for review. It uses iOS location events instead of constantly running GPS.
How location and privacy workA FEW THINGS, MADE CLEAR
Before you
pack your bags.
How does the 90/180-day rule work?
For each day of your stay, look back over that day and the previous 179 days. Under the standard short-stay rule, you can spend up to 90 of those days in Schengen. Both arrival and departure count. It’s a moving window, not a reset every six months. Read the European Commission’s guidance.
Will it record every border crossing automatically?
It helps, but it cannot guarantee every crossing. With your permission, the iPhone app uses iOS country detection to record observed stays. iOS controls background delivery; poor signal, disabled permissions and force-quitting can create gaps. Detected border dates need review, and manual entry is always available.
Can I use it without location access?
Yes. Use Record stay to choose your country and arrival date. Add or edit past visits in Your stays. The browser planner uses manual dates and never requests your location.
Do my trips leave my device?
Stayline saves your countries and dates locally and has no account or advertising analytics. Optional iPhone country lookup uses Apple’s location and geocoding services. Stayline does not save raw coordinates or send your travel history to Skylake Labs. You can export your own backup.
Can I download the iPhone app yet?
The iPhone app is currently in private preview. There is no public App Store download yet. You can use the browser planner now without signing up. This page will link directly to the verified App Store listing when the app launches.
Does this cover my visa or residence permit?
Stayline calculates ordinary short stays under the standard 90/180-day rule. It does not determine entry permission, visa validity, a shorter visa allowance, residence-permit exceptions or free-movement rights. Enter your complete history and confirm the rules for your situation.
